WordPress Maintenance & Diagnosis

Operating a website is never really done—no matter how hard we work to “get it right,” websites inevitably require iteration and change to support the continual evolution of your business.

Once we have developed your custom WordPress website, we would be honored to help you continue to maintain it. We can help in three ways:

  • Added functionality: As your business grows and evolves, it is inevitable that you will stumble on additional functions you wish your site were capable of helping you handle. One of the most wonderful things about WordPress is that it is nearly unlimited in it’s extensibility. Whatever the task, we’d love to help you modify your existing WordPress site to help it work harder for you. We price each piece of added functionality separately, based on the magnitude of the scope.

  • Monthly maintenance: It is important to keep your core installation of WordPress, as well as any plugins, updated to the most current versions in order to keep your site as secure as possible. Our lead developer, Jeremy Smeltzer, offers a monthly maintenance package where he will perform these tasks for you once a month as part of an annual subscription. You may contact him directly to purchase the plan or with any questions.

  • Emergency maintenance: Although we build our custom WordPress websites to stand the test of time, occasionally you may encounter problems with your website. Much like homeownership, it is just the nature of the beast. When there is an unexpected problem with your website, we would be happy to work with the site to try to remedy the problem. To begin, we’ll need to diagnose the problem, then take steps to remedy it. Our base diagnostic fee is $250. Once we are able to diagnose the problem, we can provide you with a price to fix the problem. Sometimes the problem is very minor, and in that case we would not bill anything in addition to the diagnostic fee. Likewise, sometimes it is not possible for us to diagnose the problem. This is very rare, however, in this case we would simply bill for the diagnostic service in order to cover our costs in researching the problem.
